he term “Cavalier-built” has been synonymous with excellence since 1956 when the company first came into existence. Its first project, in Georgetown on the island of Exuma, was the Club Peace and Plenty Inn (which still exists today), and the company has grown over the years to become a household name and an industry leader in The Bahamas.
Cavalier Construction has successfully completed numerous projects on behalf of both the public and private sectors over the years including offices, hotel resorts, airport facilities, schools, condominiums and luxury homes.
The company was proud to be engaged by the Tavistock Group in assisting with the development of its luxury development at Albany in western New Providence which it concluded in mid 2011. The company’s involvement in the project comprised construction of restaurants and other amenities as well as 35 condominium style homes over a 3 year period. View Albany Photo Gallery
Cavalier also recently completed construction of the new Straw Market on behalf of The Bahamas Government in downtown Nassau (completed September 2011). The project was completed within the stipulated 21 month contract period and on budget and now reflects a significant landmark of the Bahamian architectural landscape.
The company is delighted to be involved with Bahamar as it begins its multi-million dollar re-development of the Cable Beach area. We completed the new Scotiabank building in the new Commercial Village within the stipulated time frame of 10 months in October 2011. View Letter of Commendation
Cavalier's fellow subsidiaries include Bobcat Bahamas Limited and Solar Power Concepts, which are designed to provide added value to its clients' project needs through the provision of generators, equipment and alternative energy products.
Cavalier is currently engaged in the construction of the new Critical Care facility for the Princess Margaret Hospital on behalf of the Public Hospital Authority. The project is for a 24 month duration with a completion date of November 2013.
